ClassX - Windsor Ontario Canada

ClassX formed in 2011 releasing their debut EP Live What You Love (originally under the name The Classix). The EP was an overnight success for establishing a core fan base, through multiple song placements in an online hockey series Gongshow Hockey Shacks, and personal endorsements from NHL players such as Teemu Selanne, Bobby Ryan and Derek Roy. In 2012, the band toured and continued writing, strengthening their chemistry which over-time resulted in a complete evolution in the sonic landscape of their music, and a re-brand as ClassX.

ClassX stays true to the notion that music is born from inspiration, and their willingness to experiment with and reach beyond the boundaries of alternative rock truly sets them apart from the pack. The core of their music is rooted in rock and roll, but it also incorporates musical elements stemming from many genres, with the familiarity of Brit rock present in the undertones of each track.

Their sound is characterized by front-man Josh Demers' raspy vocal tone, lead guitarist Amedeo Falconio's signature phrasing style, bassist Eric Hoffmanns groovy bass lines, supportive rhythms by guitarist Matt Demers, and drummer Matt Evolas animalistic drums.

Recently signed by a joint indie label venture Holier Than Thou Records (UK), Respectable Records (US), the band is set to release their full length debut album Time Well Wasted in late Spring 2014. The first single Something To Look Forward To was released internationally in October 2013 and gained traction quickly landing placements on several UK radio stations, and BBC Radios Tom Anderson featured the track on his Fresh on the Net blog. Currently selling out venues in Southwestern Ontario, the band is gearing up for an overseas tour in Europe/UK this summer to promote the album.

In the press section, you will find numerous articles published in both magazines and newspapers detailing the bands successes, and in the audio section there are clips of interviews that were aired on various rock radio stations during early fringe and prime time slots.
