UNIR1 Radio had the pleasure of doing an interview with one of the best producers in the world, (17) time Certified RIAA Platinum & Gold Record Producer, Mr. Jonathan “Swole” Dumas from Macon, GA. The interview was conducted by Program Director and CEO of UNIR1 Radio, Scott Price.
Jonathan “The Gift” a.k.a. “Swole The Producer” is truly a gift from God learning almost every single instrument and how to play it properly. Swole took his gifts and knowledge to the next level by producing and recording some of the best music for many of the greatest artists in mainstream today, and has earned Swole over 17 million records sold from his productions and a long list of accolades that sets the bar for other aspiring music producers to achieve.
Swole has the reputation as a producer of “hit songs”. In 2000, Swole began his music career co-starting "The Lab Productions". He worked with artists such as 50 Cent, Chamillionaire, Busta Rhymes, Lil Mo, Bone Crusher, and Three Six Mafia. In 2006 he signed with Michael Crooms aka “Mr. ColliPark” (founder of ColliPark Music) as ¼ member of “The Package Store” known as Mr. ColliPark’s personal production team. During Swole era with Mr. ColliPark, he was an Executive Producer and Co-Producer on numerous productions that resulted in major placements. He appeared with Mr. ColliPark on MTV’s show “Celebrity Rap Superstar”. “Swole” was a featured guest producer and would provide his music compositions to the winning contestants; Sebastian Bach, Shar Jackson, and Playboy’s “Kendra”. 2008 Swole signed with “Warner Brothers Records” as Junior A&R and would later produce for music artists such as Fergie, Soulja Boy, Avant, Bun B, Hurricane Chris, Mike Jones, Young Berg, Lloyd, Arab, V.I.C., Raw Digga, Young Meech, Porscha Coleman, E40, Neyo, Stan Williams, 4 Ize, The Kadalack Boyz, Mahogany, Tex James, and many more. In 2010 he persevered on the path establishing his brand as CEO/Founder of “Swole Productions”. ”2012 Having no shortage on projects he continues producing numerous well-known artists such as, Ying Yang Twins, Mike Jones, Bones Thugs, and Harmony. Swole managed between projects to assist with establishing his current record label “Bacyardbang Inc.” This business venture brought forth Scatbackalabacon Booncoon Music Group. Swole is preparing release of his debut album, “The Gift of God” as artist “Jonathan the Gift”. The album will feature artists produced by Swole & Freon. June 2013 Bacyardbang Inc., signed an aspiring Pop Artist “Nicole Krinsky” to their label. The list of upcoming artists from these “Indie Labels” is massive”.
