Marc Chase started playing music in the 1970's in Memphis, TN.
He was heavily influenced by the sounds of Southern Rock and the Blues. Starting out with his two brothers, they played all original music.
Soon , Marc and his brothers were picked-up by Charlie Feathers – Rock-a-Billy King, and went on tour while recording some albums.
The tours lead to a five year run with Bubba Feathers – Charlie's son, and the “Big City Band”. The Big City Band shared the stage with many successful acts such as; Jerry Lee Lewis, Charlie Rich, Dottie West, and many more, not to mention opening up for the Guess Who in the early 80's. encouraged by his parents to move to Florida . Marc then made a decision to leave the band and let his brother Jerry and Bubba Feathers take over.
Marc and his family moved to Tampa, FL and meet John Mayeux.
They soon become a top local act and add George Rocek, who had just moved here from Chicago. Jerry is soon to follow. That is the making of "Mayeux and Chase" Band.
Mayeux and Chase had a wonderful five year run including a brief cable TV show called “Marie’s Sox Hop” on NCR broadcasting, and a single release with “Woman is a Lady” and “Boy from Memphis”. Unfortunately, they had a management dispute that would split the band up.
Marc and George teamed up with Bear Henson and Max Combs and formed “The Source Band”. About a year later, his brother Jerry joins the group. The Source Band has a great time playing & touring Florida.
