Dale Stephens - Manhattan, NY - UNIR1Radio.com

DALE STEPHENS - GUITAR VIRTUOSO -  MANHATTAN, NY

At age 4, Dale Stephens would sneak into his uncle's room to play his Strat. His love for music began so early that he cannot remember not having a guitar. " It was the greatest feeling to play and all the family sing and join in, " I knew in my heart that was what I always wanted" says Dale.

Dale has verywide range of influences, with a unique style stemming from such artist as; The Allman Brothers, Peter Frampton, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, Bad Company, Van Halen, Gary Moore, Paco DeLucia, Al DiMeola, Neal Schon and Steve Lukather...to heavier acts as Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, and so many more...

From his delicate emotional leads and tones, to his fiery speed and acoustic playing, Dale has graced audiences all over the World with his sincere and passionate leads.

After hearing Peter Frampton's "Do you feel like we do" from Peter's groundbreaking album Framptom Comes Alive, the young Dale Stephens started the musical journey that many artists share...deep long practicing and disciplined rehearsing. Dale has played on stage with such artists as Luther Vandross, and has logged countless hours of session work; some highlights include sessions with members of famous acts like Foreigner.

"Music has nothing to do with physical attributes other than the actual listening. Much like how a book may be better than a movie...it is your mental forces creating the scene scape that makes music so wonderful. Everything to me is interpreted always to its fullest potential. I never see the seed, I always look at the seed as the tree it will be. There is a greatness in the power of positive thinking."    ~ Dale Stephens

It was after many years of touring Dale decided to work with one of his other passions, Science & Technology...which landed him a prestigious job for a Fortune 10 bank in NYC. After 9/11, and losing a dear friend, he needed a break from New York City, and started "Soul Searching" in the Caribbean. After going through the trials & tribulations of the heart he had experienced, he was ready and refocused on his love for family and to continue what he had started in the Caribbean. During his time abroad, many songs from Metropolitan Memoirs had been written. At an invitation to his sister's holiday party, he was asked to perform...after hearing Dale play, Dale's former Manager Gil Coronado had approached him and a business relationship formed. With the hunger Dale Stephens had, he was able to record his debut CD "Metropolitan Memoirs" in 30 days, which is known as "A look into my life and experiences". It is truly inspiring to listen to what the artist has put together into his CD, so much emotion and feel from a beautiful Human Being.

Metropolitan Memoirs is Dale Stephens' first solo album and is a beautiful masterpiece of passion, joy, and creating meaningful music. It is an album that truly speaks of his life, love for music, and passion as a wonderful human being.

Stephens' album is purely instrumental and honestly it doesn't need lyrics because he tells the song's story through the power of each instrument and how it is crafted together in the track. Having lyrics would only take away from the beautiful melodies and would diminish the essence of how powerful his music truly is.

TimesSquare.com, Music Editor, Cecily Van Horn describes Metropolitan Memoirs, “Dale's ability to fuse different guitar styles into his music is astonishing…
..Dale Stephens is truly a 6 string master who plays straight from his heart and soul leaving nothing behind”.

Dale Stephens is also a co-founder of Rock Against Poverty, an organization that lead him to perform in April of this year at a concert to launch this great cause. It is through this event he shared the stage with Grammy Award Nominated Trey Lorenz, and American Idol finalist Anwar Robinson. This event was aimed to heighten the awareness to the causes to which the Rock Against Poverty was founded, Poverty and Climate Change. Showing that Dale Stephens has a love for human nature, Dale is not only a true Musician, he is a Humanitarian.

The digital release of “Metropolitan Memoirs” is now available through Amazon, iTunes USA, iTunes Australia/ NZ, iTunes Canada, iTunes UK/ European Union, iTunes Japan, iTunes Mexico, Spotify, Media.net, eMusic, Zune, Rhapsody, Nokia, Napster, iHeartRadio, and VerveLife.
